2018〜19 NCAA部門Iの男子バスケットボールシーズンは、2018年11月6日に始まりました。 最初のトーナメントは2kスポーツクラシックであり、シーズンは2019年NCAADivisionI男子バスケットボールトーナメントファイナル4、ミネアポリスで2019年4月8日に終了する。 プラクティスは、2018年9月28日に公式に開始された[1]。

2019年2月22日、NCAAは、 2019年の全国招待トーナメントで使用する一連の実験ルールを発表しました[2]。
2018 NITでは次のルールも使用されました。
- 3 6.75メートル (22 ft 2 in)は、 FIBA標準の6.75メートル (22 ft 2 in)。アークがサイドラインに近づくと、 1.02メートル (3 ft 4 in)サイドラインから[注釈 1]。
- フリースローレーンは、現在の大学の標準である12フィートからNBAの標準である16フィートに拡大されました。
