Tōchōji is a temple in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo, that believes in Sōtōshū (曹洞宗).

History[編集]
Tōchōji was founded in 1594.[1]
The temple building had been destroyed by fire twice, and the new temple building was completed in 2000.[1]
The branch temple was constructed and named Bunyukaku in 2015.[1]
Bunyukaku[編集]
Bunyukaku is the branch temple of Tōchōji and it was completed in June 2015.[2]
The landscape design of this building was designed by Ryōsuke Shimoda (霜田 亮祐),an associate professor at Chiba University in Japan and Hajime Takaoki (高沖 哉).[3]
