ネジレカスリレイシ（仮称）Indothais lacera は、アッキガイ科 Muricidae のカスリレイシ[3]属 Indothais の一種で[4]、殻高約5cm以下、円錐を上下に合わせたような形の殻をもつ巻貝である。螺層毎に肩が張り、約45度毎に低い突起が出る。殻は厚くはないが堅固。体層に褐色の細い螺肋が多数めぐらされる。殻口は広く、軸唇に白色ないし淡橙色の滑層が広がる。水管溝は伸びずに外へ向かって開く。サイヅチボラ[5] が捻じれたような外観だが、個体によっては殻口近くがさらに螺塔から離れた方向へ捻じれたものもある。インド-熱帯西太平洋の潮間帯岩石間に分布する[2]。
