Altium Designer (AD) は、プリント基板（PCB）用の電子設計自動化ソフトウェアパッケージである。オーストラリアのソフトウェア会社Altium Limitedによって開発された。
歴史[編集]
Altium Designerは、当時Protel Systems Pty Ltdとして知られていたAltiumによって、2005 年に設立された。そのルーツは、1985年にProtel PCBとして知られるDOSベースのPCB デザインツールを発売した時にさかのぼる（後にAutotraxとEasytraxに発展）。当初はオーストラリア国内でのみ販売されていた[2][3] Protel PCBは1986年にHST Technologyによって国際的に販売され始める[3] 1986年から米国、カナダ、メキシコで販売されるようになり、サンディエゴに拠点を置くACCEL Technologies, IncからTango PCBという名称で販売された[3] 1987年には回路図エディタProtel Schematic for DOSをリリースした。
1991年、ProtelはWindows用のAdvanced SchematicとAdvanced PCB 1.0をリリース（1991〜1993）、その後Advanced Schematic/PCB 2.x（1993〜1995）、3.x（1995〜1998）と続けてリリースした。1998年、Protel98はAdvanced SchematicとAdvanced PCBを含むすべてのコンポーネントを単一の環境に統合した。1999年のProtel99では、PCBアセンブリの3Dビジュアライゼーションが初めて統合された。2000年にはProtel 99 SEがリリースされた。2003年にはProtel DXPが、2004年にはProtel 2004が、2005年にはAltium Designer 6.0 が販売された。2007年からのAltium Designer バージョン 6.8は、PCBエディタ内で直接 PCBの3D可視化とクリアランスチェックを提供した最初の製品である。[4]
特徴[編集]
Altium Designerのスイートは、Schematic capture、[5] 3D PCBデザイン、[6] FPGA開発、[7] リリース/データ管理の4つの主要な機能を含んでいる。[8] そして、メーカーのデータにアクセスするためにいくつかの部品販売会社と統合している[9][10] また、基板のインタラクティブな3D編集とSTEPへのMCADエクスポートもできる[11]。
Altium Designerは、さまざまな PCB や CAD データ交換ファイルフォーマットのインポートとエクスポートをサポートしている。[12][13] ツールのネイティブファイル形式は *.schDoc および *.PcbDoc である。
Altium Designer は AutoCAD *.dwg/*.dxf と ISO STEP ファイル形式のインポートとエクスポートができる。[12]
