大元ウルスの凖王族。天山ウイグル王国の王族。バヤン・ブカの子。父が、反乱軍によって自殺され、跡を継ぎ、ウイグル王となる。しかし、反乱軍によって、元朝を滅ぼされ、エセンは、領地を、失い事実上、天山ウイグル王国は滅びた。
